Guest Relations Specialist

This is a seasonal position with The Inn at Herrington Harbour. Originally built in the 1940’s, this fully restored boutique Inn is tucked away on the sandy shores of beautiful Herring Bay, and is an extension of the renowned, Herrington Harbour South Marina Resort. The ideal candidate for this position would have a background in hospitality, strong customer service, communication and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and to work well within a team. Responsibilities will include making reservations, processing payments, assigning rooms and tending to each guests’ individual needs. This position is seasonal, and requires both weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome all guests and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Process reservations effectively and efficiently. Reservations are made in-person, by phone, through email and with the help of a web-based reservation system
• Clearly explain all guest charges and process guest payments

Required Education and Experience:

• High School or Equivalent (minimum)
• Experience in Hospitality industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work inter-departmentally with each aspect of the property, including but not limited to the Inn, marina, pool, beach and catering
• Ability to welcome and make each guest feel as though they are a member of your family
• Reliability, responsibility, trustworthiness, kindness, positivity and professionalism
