Job Title: Guest Room A/C Technician
Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: Engineering Supervisor / Chief Engineer
Position Summary:
The Guest Room A/C Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of air-conditioning and ventilation systems in guest rooms and hotel areas, ensuring optimal comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. The role requires prompt response to guest complaints and preventive maintenance in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair A/C units in guest rooms and hotel facilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and related equipment
- Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and rectify reported issues
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant problems
- Clean coils, filters, and ducts to ensure efficient operation
- Install, replace, or adjust thermostats, compressors, motors, and other components
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and energy-saving procedures
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office for room maintenance status
- Report major faults or required spare parts to the supervisor or chief engineer
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Technical diploma/certification in HVAC or Refrigeration
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in A/C maintenance, preferably in hotels or facilities management
- Strong knowledge of split units, fan coils, chillers basics, and ventilation systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at height
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
