Guest Room Attendant

The Renaissance Chicago O'Hare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our exceptional hospitality team. In this vital role, you will help ensure each guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment that reflects the elevated standards of the Renaissance brand. Your attention to detail and passion for cleanliness will directly enhance the guest experience.

What You’ll Do Each Day:

• Thoroughly clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Replace linens and towels, ensuring all items are clean, fresh, and in excellent condition.
• Stock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies and report inventory needs to management.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests for additional items or services.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and other tasks as directed by housekeeping management.
• Uphold the Renaissance brand’s standards of quality, service, and hospitality in all areas of work.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Basic knowledge of floor care and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach continuously throughout the shift (typically 8+ hours).
• Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing 25–50 pounds on a regular basis (e.g., cleaning carts, linen bags, vacuums).
• Frequent use of hands and arms to handle cleaning tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Must be able to climb stairs and work on multiple floors as needed.
• Visual ability to assess cleanliness and identify maintenance or safety issues.
• Must be comfortable working with cleaning agents and in environments that may include dust and varying temperatures.
• Ability to remain productive and focused in a high-energy, guest-facing environment.
