The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA is seeking a friendly and guest-focused Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team. This position plays a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences through professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality.
Schedule & Availability
This position requires full flexibility, with availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Key Requirements

Availability: Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, during the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in a guest service or hospitality role required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers, multi-line phone systems, and Microsoft Office; hotel system experience preferred.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Professionalism: Reliable, polished, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and accuracy in handling guest information and payments.

Ability to Stand for entirety of 8 to 10 hour shift.
Responsibilities

Welcome and assist guests with warmth and professionalism throughout their stay.

Execute all check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.

Assist with room reservations, dining reservations, and general guest inquiries.

Serve as a Hotel Operator when assigned, managing phone calls and messages with clarity and care.

Process payments, verify billing accuracy, and post charges appropriately.

Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless service.

Address guest concerns promptly and courteously.

Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.

Complete required reports and documentation accurately.

Perform additional duties as assigned by Front Office leadership.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior front desk or reservations experience preferred.
