Our client a well known University is seeking a Guest Services Representative in their New York, New York Location


Job Description

  • Serve as frontline service staff, providing high-quality customer service to guests and visitors in a residential or hospitality environment
  • Assist guests in person, by phone, and through digital platforms by answering questions, providing directions, and resolving issues professionally
  • Enter and track maintenance requests using work order and incident reporting systems; ensure timely processing according to policy
  • Process a variety of desk services, including temporary key issuance, account transactions, deposits, refunds, late payments, and resource replacement
  • Create and maintain informational signage for residential buildings
  • Respond to all inquiries courteously and professionally while maintaining a high standard of service
  • Provide cross-functional support related to front desk operations and services
  • Process and monitor maintenance and incident requests promptly; maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Provide administrative support, including troubleshooting front desk issues and ensuring all services are accessible to residents
  • Communicate with residents regarding contractor work, fire drills, alarms, guest passes, key loans, and maintenance follow-ups
  • Perform cash handling duties, including processing payments, refunds, and account transactions in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform cashiering responsibilities, including end-of-shift reconciliation, report generation, and secure handling of funds
  • Manage access to residential buildings by maintaining key security, issuing temporary keys, responding to lockouts, and providing escorted access when appropriate
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and after-hours access issues
  • Issue replacement identification cards, update associated services, and ensure compliance with institutional policies
  • Work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and emergency coverage as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
