Guest Services Representative

The Courtyard by Marriott in Fishers Indiana is seeking outgoing Front Desk Representatives who are responsible for serving as a positive, property ambassador by contributing to our guest's satisfaction throughout their stay. We are currently hiring for a dayshift and evening shift representative. These positions also require weekend flexibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Attend to the needs of guests, especially during check-in and check-out.

· Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities.

· Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat).

· Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.

· Posting charges to guest accounts and processing payments for guests.

· Informing housekeeping department about room status/availability.

· Operating hotel switchboard.

· Cleaning the front desk area.

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures to meet business goals and objectives.

• Able to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and managers.

Work Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or zero (0) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexible schedule.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment:

· The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-oriented.

· This position may, from time to time, require a flexible work schedule.

· Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment is required.

· This position requires working independently with minimal supervision.

· This position requires working and interacting with other team members.

· This position involves frequent interaction with employees, both in person and over the telephone.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 per hour
