We are on the lookout for an experienced Guidewire SBT Specialist to spearhead the strategic implementation and continuous enhancement of Standards-Based Templates (SBT) within our PolicyCenter ecosystem. This pivotal role will drive the rapid rollout of commercial insurance products across diverse jurisdictions, ensuring seamless regulatory alignment and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a sharp understanding of insurance compliance, and a passion for optimizing product delivery on a scale.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Senior Engineer contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members..
• Configure and maintain Guidewire SBTs for commercial insurance products.
• Deep understanding of commercial P&C insurance products and workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO and AAIS standards and should convert them into Guidewire configurable solutions using Product Designer or APD.
• Collaborate with product owners and actuarial teams to align templates with business needs.
• Customize rating algorithms, forms, and rules based on state-specific requirements.
• Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely template adjustments.
• Support testing, validation, and deployment of SBT configurations.
• Provide technical documentation and training to internal stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SBT performance and integration.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security practices, and documentation requirements.
• Support production deployments and post-release validation of rating changes.
• Remain current on new technologies, evaluate, and make recommendations as necessary.
• Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling.
• Mentor Software Engineers and help them enhance their skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, especially SBT modules, Rating and Product Model.
• Proficiency in GOSU scripting and Guidewire configuration tools.
• Strong understanding of insurance rating principles and actuarial collaboration.
• Experience with Guidewire Studio and configuration best practices.
• Experience Agile/Scrum Project Experience.
• Good conceptual, analytical, and mathematical skills.

Good To Have:
Candidates with these additional skills on their resumes have an added advantage when their profiles are being assessed. Some of them are as follows:

• Guidewire certification in PolicyCenter Configuration or Rating.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud or Digital Portals.
• Experience with multi-state product rollouts.
• Knowledge of P&C insurance products and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile preferred.
