GENERAL ROLE
:

As Gym Attendant at Miraval The Red Sea, your main role is maintaining a peaceful, clean, and organized environment in the Mindfulness Center, which includes the fitness area, studios, and Serenity Center.
-
This position ensures that all spaces are set up appropriately for each session and that all equipment is in optimal condition.
-
The Gym Attendant also provides assistance to guests during their fitness journey, offering guidance and ensuring their experience is seamless and comfortable.
-
Additionally, the Gym Attendant will support the Reception, Spa, and Aquatic Center when needed, contributing to the smooth operation of all wellness spaces across the resort.

Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness:
-
Ensure the Mindfulness Center, including the fitness area, studios, and Serenity Center, is always clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies such as towels, water, and fitness accessories.

Regularly inspect and maintain fitness equipment, ensuring all machines, weights, and tools are in working order. Report any maintenance needs to the Fitness & Recreation Manager or appropriate department immediately.

Sanitize gym equipment after each use, ensuring everything is properly stored and ready for use.

Ensure the fitness areas, studios, and Serenity Center are set up according to the schedule, including arranging equipment and ensuring all spaces are in line with Miraval’s high standards.
-
Maintain cleanliness of public areas in the Mindfulness Center, including the reception, waiting areas, locker rooms, and lounges.
Guest Assistance & Support:
-
Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing them with assistance with check-in and guiding them to the appropriate wellness areas, such as the fitness space or Serenity Center.

Assist guests with finding equipment, explaining how to use fitness tools, and ensuring their safety during their workouts.
-
Assist in guiding guests through their fitness journey, offering support and recommendations for fitness programs and mindfulness activities available at Miraval.

Provide personalized recommendations to guests, helping them optimize their wellness journey by suggesting appropriate exercises, mindfulness practices, or treatments.
-
Support guests in the Mindfulness Center, Spa, and Aquatic Center if required, ensuring they have everything they need for a smooth, seamless experience across all wellness spaces.
Operational Support & Setup:
-
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the fitness areas, studios, and Serenity Center as needed, ensuring that each space is ready for the next session or activity.

Prepare equipment and wellness areas for scheduled fitness classes, wellness programs, and other activities in a timely manner.
-
Support the Reception team and assist with guest bookings, inquiries, and providing information about wellness services and programs across the resort.

Assist the Spa and Aquatic Center teams when needed, ensuring smooth transitions between spaces and supporting guest needs across all areas of Miraval The Red Sea.
Revenue Generation & Upselling:
-
Promote wellness services and fitness programs to guests, ensuring they are aware of additional offerings such as personal training, wellness retreats, and spa treatments.

Suggest retail products available in the Mindfulness Center or Spa, such as fitness accessories, wellness products, and other items that align with guests' personal wellness goals.
-
Engage in mindful upselling and cross-selling, ensuring all recommendations align with guests' preferences and wellness journeys.
Mindfulness & Guest Experience:
-
Foster a mindful atmosphere in all areas of the Mindfulness Center, fitness space, studios, and Serenity Center, promoting a calm, peaceful, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Encourage guests to incorporate mindful practices into their workouts and daily routines, helping them enhance their overall well-being.

Ensure guests feel supported and empowered during their time in the Mindfulness Center, assisting them with any fitness or wellness needs they may have.

Assist with guest inquiries, ensuring they are informed about the programs available and how they can achieve their wellness goals at Miraval The Red Sea.
Team Collaboration & Communication:
-
Collaborate with other team members, including fitness instructors, wellness professionals, and spa staff, to ensure a seamless and integrated guest experience across all wellness areas.

Communicate effectively with the Fitness & Recreation Manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations, efficient guest flow, and effective use of space and resources.

Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on Miraval’s wellness offerings and improve service quality.

Foster a positive and collaborative environment, supporting colleagues in delivering exceptional service and creating an uplifting guest experience
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Minimum 1 year of experience as a gym attendant, fitness assistant, or in a wellness center or luxury spa environment.
-
Basic knowledge of fitness equipment, exercise techniques, and gym maintenance procedures.
-
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a mindful, friendly, and professional manner.
-
Proficiency in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
-
Passion for wellness, mindfulness, and creating exceptional experiences for guests.
-
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage guests in a friendly, professional, and supportive manner.
-
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, including maintaining equipment, supporting guests, and preparing spaces for fitness classes.

Ability to work independently while maintaining focus on providing exceptional service.

Attention to detail in maintaining a clean and organized fitness environment.
-
Ability to model mindfulness and promote well-being through fitness activities and practices.
-
Physical stamina to assist with setting up equipment, walking around the fitness area, and standing for extended periods.
