JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join Absolute Gymnastics. The ideal candidate will plan and deliver engaging training sessions, maintain attendance logs, manage equipment, and ensure all safety protocols are followed. You’ll supervise assistant and part-time coaches, support interdepartmental programs, and contribute to events, marketing, and development initiatives. This role demands excellent leadership, organizational ability, and a genuine passion for athlete growth.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Training Sessions:
Design and execute structured lesson plans for different skill levels each term. Focus on progression, conditioning, and skill mastery aligned with our academy’s standards.
2. Attendance Tracking:
Accurately record and maintain attendance data for all athletes to ensure performance monitoring and consistent participation.
3. Coaching Excellence:
Apply the most current gymnastics techniques and updates from the syllabus into squad training. Encourage continuous improvement and uphold the highest coaching standards.
4. Program Implementation:
Integrate evolving gymnastics practices into training modules to enhance competitiveness and readiness for local and international competitions.
5. Equipment Handling:
Organize and supervise the set-up and dismantling of apparatus, maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient training space.
6. Timeliness:
Arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before scheduled sessions to ensure smooth preparation and a professional start to all classes.
7. Athlete Safety:
Implement all safeguarding and child protection guidelines. Administer first aid promptly when needed to create a safe, supportive environment.
8. Staff Coordination:
Manage scheduling for assistant and part-time coaches, promoting teamwork and consistent program delivery.
9. Financial and Client Relations:
Assist in meeting venue financial goals and help retain clients through high-quality service and communication.
10. Parent and Client Updates:
Maintain open communication with clients about events, competitions, and session progress, fostering long-term trust and satisfaction.
11. Competition Assistance:
Coordinate and support in-house competitions twice yearly and provide guidance during external events, motivating athletes to perform at their best.
12. Department Collaboration:
Work alongside departments such as Infinite Camps to deliver exceptional gymnastics programs in schools and community events.
13. Reporting Line:
Reports directly to the Academy Manager – Infinite Sports LLC / Absolute Sports LLC.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum British Gymnastics Level 2 or equivalent coaching qualification.
At least 3 years of coaching experience.
Valid driver's license.
Safeguarding certificate.
First aid qualification.
Police clearance check.
Core Skills:
Strong leadership and administrative skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven experience coaching recreational to competitive-level gymnasts
Ability to manage assistant and part-time staff effectively
Confident in MS Office and report preparation
Additional Details:
Programs include Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Competitive training (Artistic or Rhythmic disciplines).
Performance will be evaluated through termly KPIs and venue reviews.
Working Hours: 48 hours per week / 6 days
