Job Summary

The Gynecologist & IVF Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive gynecological care and advanced fertility treatments, including IVF and assisted reproductive techniques. The role focuses on patient-centric, ethical, evidence-based clinical practice while ensuring high standards of safety, success rates, and compassionate care.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient gynecological consultations.
  • Diagnose and manage infertility cases (male & female factors).
  • Perform and supervise IVF, IUI, ICSI, ovulation induction, and fertility preservation procedures.
  • Conduct transvaginal ultrasounds, follicular monitoring, and endometrial assessment.
  • Perform egg pickup (OPU), embryo transfer (ET), and related procedures.
  • Manage high-risk gynecological and fertility-related cases.
  • Provide antenatal, post-procedure, and follow-up care.
  • Counsel patients and couples regarding treatment options, success rates, risks, and alternatives.
  • Handle gynecological emergencies related to IVF and pregnancy.

IVF & Laboratory Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with embryologists, anesthetists, nurses, and OT staff.
  • Ensure adherence to IVF protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in treatment planning, stimulation protocols, and cycle reviews.
  • Monitor lab outcomes, embryo quality, and treatment success indicators.

Patient Counseling & Ethics

  • Ensure informed consent and transparent financial and clinical counseling.
  • Maintain confidentiality, empathy, and ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Support patients emotionally through fertility treatment journeys.

Quality & Compliance

  • Follow NABH, ART Act, and hospital quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, treatment records, and reports.
  • Participate in audits, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed.

Academic & Administrative Role

  • Guide junior doctors, nurses, and IVF coordinators.
  • Participate in clinical training and case discussions.
  • Support hospital marketing, patient awareness programs, and academic events when required.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS + MD/DGO/DNB (Obstetrics & Gynecology)
  • Fellowship / Certification in Reproductive Medicine or IVF
  • Registration with State Medical Council / NMC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹59,451.71 - ₹186,551.43 per month
