Gypsum Carpenter – High-End Residential Projects

Role Overview

The Gypsum Carpenter is responsible for the installation of gypsum board systems within luxury residential properties. The role requires exceptional workmanship strong attention to detail and the ability to execute complex ceiling and wall designs to a flawless finish. All works must meet high aesthetic standards approved drawings and agreed project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Install gypsum board partitions wall linings and ceilings in accordance with approved shop drawings and specifications
• Construct complex ceiling designs including bulkheads coffers curves drops shadow gaps light troughs and access panels
• Set out works accurately using drawings laser levels and precise site measurements
• Fix metal framing systems including GI channels studs and tracks ensuring correct alignment spacing and structural support
• Install moisture resistant and fire rated boards where specified
• Ensure tight joints correct screw spacing and straight lines suitable for high end paint finishes
• Coordinate with electrical cooling and other services teams for lighting diffusers speakers and access points
• Carry out jointing taping and preparation works to premium finish standards where required
• Identify and rectify defects prior to inspection or handover
• Maintain clean organised work areas and protect completed finishes at all times
• Comply with site safety requirements quality standards and company procedures

Quality and Performance KPIs

• Installation output aligned with the agreed project programme without rework
• Zero visible defects after final paint finish including cracks waves misalignment or uneven joints
• Accurate execution of ceiling details including shadow gaps and feature elements within ±2 mm tolerance
• Full compliance with drawings specifications and approved mock ups
• Minimal material waste and correct storage handling and usage of materials
• Successful inspections and approvals from consultants and clients

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 4 years UAE experience as a gypsum carpenter on high end residential or luxury villa projects
• Proven experience delivering complex ceiling designs and premium finishes
• Strong technical understanding of gypsum systems framing methods and fixing standards
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings reflected ceiling plans and design details
• High level of accuracy and attention to finish quality
• Experience coordinating works around MEP installations
• Knowledge of moisture resistant and fire rated gypsum systems

Preferred Experience

• Experience working to European or bespoke interior fit out standards
• Ability to work within a small team
• Ability to paint to a high standard is a benifit
• Previous experience on premium or ultra luxury villa projects
