Job Role: Civil/ Finishing Technician

Experience:7+years

Location: Dubai

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a civil technician, you should have well-rounded expertise in gypsum & carpentry works, painting, and tiling who can deliver high-quality finish work across interiors for residential and commercial building projects throughout the city.

Key Responsibilities:

· Gypsum board works: Measure, cut, fix, and finish gypsum partitions, ceilings, bulkheads and decorative elements; tape, apply joint compound, sand seams to a smooth finish; repair and maintain existing gypsum structures

· Painting: Prepare surfaces, fill cracks, apply primers and final coats of enamel/emulsion paint or spray finishes; match existing finishes and complete touch-ups.

· Carpentry: Construct and install wooden frames, doors, skirting, and custom panels; maintain furniture/stairs and perform finishing work.

· Tiling & masonry: Handle ceramic tile installation, stonework, block work, floor and wall tiling, mortar application and grouting.

· Preventive maintenance: Carry out routine and emergency repairs to façades, ceilings, floors, equipment, and structural elements

· Project coordination: Collaborate with supervisors, MEP teams, and contractors; read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings; adhere to safety and quality standards

· Tool use: Operate power tools, spray equipment, trowels, sanders, mixers, tile cutters, and jointing tools safely and effectively.

Qualifications:

· 7-10 years of experience in residential and commercial site

· Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings & 3D design

· Skilled in using various hand and power tools

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

· Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods

· Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls when necessary

· Valid driver's license is is desirable

· Strong communication skills in English & Hindi; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.

Work Environment:

· May work in residential & commercial projects

· Indoor and outdoor tasks depending on assignment
