Haematology Outpatient and Daycase General Administrator

This is a unique opportunity to join the experienced Medicine Division, providing high-quality administrative support within the Haematology Department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

You will be part of a busy and friendly team, working closely with consultants, nursing staff, clinical teams, managers, and administrative colleagues across the specialty to ensure the smooth and efficient running of services.

The role involves managing and maintaining waiting lists, booking chemotherapy and day case treatments, coordinating patient admissions, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry on Trust systems such as Nervecentre and Bookwise, in line with Trust Access and RTT policies.

You will act as a key point of contact for patients and staff, providing a professional, empathetic, and efficient service across telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions, while supporting clinic preparation, capacity management, and outpatient reception cover when required.

Manage and maintain NUH waiting lists, including adding and removing patients in line with Trust standard operating procedures using Nervecentre and Bookwise.

Book chemotherapy and day case treatments using Bookwise, ensuring appointments are scheduled appropriately.

Co-ordinate and book patient admissions for day case procedures, supporting the effective delivery of the service.

Ensure all patient information is accurately recorded and regularly updated on Trust IT systems, maintaining RTT data accuracy at all times in line with the Trust Access Policy.

Produce admission lists for nursing staff to support the smooth running of day case activity.

Act as the first point of contact for patient enquiries via telephone, email, and face to face, demonstrating a professional and empathetic approach at all times.

Manage clinic capacity, including overbooking appointments where appropriate, liaising with clinicians to ensure safe and effective use of clinic slots.

Prepare clinics for both Day Case and Outpatients, ensuring all required documentation and systems are in place.

Provide cover for Outpatients Reception as required, supporting the wider administrative team.
