Hair Stylist

Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. As a Hair Stylist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our clients' beauty and confidence through exceptional hair care services. You will be responsible for providing a range of hair styling services while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Duties

• Provide high-quality hair cutting, coloring, and styling services tailored to each client's preferences.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair fashion and techniques to offer innovative styles.
• Perform makeup application and nail care services as needed, showcasing versatility in beauty treatments.
• Utilize MINDBODY software for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail transactions.
• Educate clients on proper hair care techniques and recommend products that suit their needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
• Engage in upselling of products and services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters creativity and teamwork.

Experience

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of color theory and techniques for various hair types.
• Familiarity with straight razor techniques is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
• Knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales tracking.
• Experience with MINDBODY or similar salon management software is advantageous.
• A passion for beauty trends, along with the ability to apply makeup professionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.70 - $23.35 per hour
