Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

SERVICE PROVIDER

Pay Rate: $12.00 to $30.00 per hour

Compensation: 44% Commission
You will be compensated based on either a starting base pay rate of $12.00 per hour or a 44% commission on all services rendered, whichever is higher during each pay period. Please note, the hourly rate and commission do not combine; only the higher amount will be paid.

Training Schedule:

Sunday & Monday: Off

Tuesday - Friday: 8:30am to 4pm

Saturday: 7:30am to 2pm

Saturday: 10:30am to 5pm

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a licensed cosmetologist to help customers transform their physical appearance to their liking. You will be responsible for listening to the customer’s wishes and desires and provide them with the most suitable services. They will be deft and competent with a broad knowledge of trends and fashion. The ideal is to achieve maximum customer satisfaction to drive long-term success for our business.

Responsibilities

• Converse with clients to better understand their requirements and make suggestions for improving their appearance
• Cut, style and color hair and do scalp treatments
• Apply and sell cosmetics and other beauty products
• Answer the phone and schedule appointments
• Maintain equipment and order material when appropriate
• Comply with health and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience as a cosmetologist
• Working knowledge of all aspects of cosmetology and best practices
• Up-to-date with fashion and beauty trends
• Great physical stamina
• Excellent communication and people skills
• High school diploma

Expected hours: 36 per week
