Position Title: Hammam & Spa Therapist

Department: Spa & Salon

Reports To: Spa & Store Manager

Location: IZIL Beauty Spa

JOB SUMMARY

The Hammam & Spa Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional Hammam, massage, and spa treatments while ensuring the highest standards of guest care, hygiene, and professionalism. The role combines expertise in traditional Moroccan and Turkish Hammam rituals with therapeutic massage techniques to provide guests with a relaxing, rejuvenating, and personalized wellness experience.

The therapist will contribute to guest satisfaction, support spa sales objectives, maintain treatment facilities, and uphold IZIL Beauty's service standards and brand values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hammam & Spa Treatments

• Perform authentic Hammam treatments, including Moroccan and Turkish rituals, using approved techniques and products.

• Deliver professional massage treatments and body therapies according to the spa menu and treatment protocols.

• Customize treatments based on guest needs, preferences, and health considerations.

• Conduct client consultations to assess requirements and recommend suitable treatments.

• Ensure seamless guest experiences by following prescribed service standards and treatment procedures.

• Accompany guests to and from treatment rooms while providing exceptional customer service.

• Monitor guest comfort and satisfaction throughout treatments and respond promptly to concerns.

• Participate in spa demonstrations, promotional activities, and special events when required.
• Guest Experience & Customer Care

• Build strong relationships with guests and maintain records of preferences and treatment history.

• Provide personalized recommendations for treatments and homecare products.

• Create a relaxing and welcoming environment that enhances the overall guest experience.

• Ensure all guests receive professional, courteous, and attentive service.
• Sales & Retail Responsibilities

• Promote spa services, treatments, and retail products to achieve sales targets.

• Educate guests on product benefits and recommend suitable skincare and wellness solutions.

• Maintain accurate sales records and submit daily reports as required.

• Support promotional campaigns and initiatives to increase spa revenue.
• Spa Operations & Inventory Management

• Follow daily appointment schedules and roster assignments efficiently.

• Set up treatment rooms and workstations before each appointment.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of professional products, consumables, linens, and supplies.

• Report inventory shortages and operational issues to management.

• Ensure all spa equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
• Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in all treatment areas.

• Sterilize tools and equipment according to health and safety regulations.

• Ensure towels, linens, and treatment materials are properly maintained and stocked.

• Adhere to all company policies, standard operating procedures, and health and safety requirements.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations related to spa operations and guest safety.
• Professionalism & Team Collaboration

• Maintain excellent personal grooming and professional appearance at all times.

• Be punctual, prepared, and ready for scheduled appointments.

• Support reception and front-desk operations when required.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to team performance.

• Participate in training programs and continuously develop professional skills and treatment knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Certifications

• Diploma or Certification in Massage Therapy, Spa Therapy, Beauty Therapy, or a related field from a recognized institution.

• Certification in Hammam treatments is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Hammam Therapist, Spa Therapist, or Massage Therapist.

• Experience in luxury spas, wellness centers, or hospitality environments preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Moroccan and Turkish Hammam rituals.

• Proficiency in a variety of massage and body treatment techniques.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to assess client needs and customize treatments accordingly.

• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform treatments throughout the workday.

• Ability to work with diverse clients and maintain confidentiality.

Technical Skills

• Basic computer knowledge for appointment management and record keeping.

• Familiarity with spa booking systems is an advantage.
