Handyman / Interior & Installation Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Handyman with strong experience in interior renovations and installations to perform a variety of repair, installation, and maintenance tasks in homes and commercial spaces. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or on a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install interior elements such as cabinets, shelves, molding, cabinetry, doors, trim, and baseboards

• Perform drywall repair, patching, and finishing

• Paint walls, ceilings, and trim

• Lay flooring (laminate, hardwood, tile, vinyl)

• Install fixtures, lighting, switches, outlets, and basic electrical work (within code limits)

• Handle basic plumbing tasks (faucet installation, sink replacement, pipe repair)

• Perform minor carpentry and woodworking projects

• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, or schematics

• Diagnose and fix small maintenance issues

• Ensure work meets building codes and quality standards

• Maintain tools and equipment

• Communicate with clients and supervisors on job status, material needs, and issues

• Keep accurate records of hours, materials, and tasks

Qualifications / Skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in handyman, renovation, or interior installation work

• Proficient with hand tools and power tools

• Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, basic plumbing, and electrical systems

• Ability to read measurements, blueprints, and technical drawings

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to lift heavy objects (e.g. up to 50 lbs or more) and perform physically demanding tasks

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Good communication skills and a professional attitude

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Certifications or licenses (electrical, plumbing, carpenter) are a plus.

Working Hours & Conditions:

• Full-time (e.g. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm), with occasional weekends or overtime as needed

• Work site conditions vary — homes, apartments, commercial properties

• Some travel between job sites required

• Must follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear
