We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments.

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in Bessemer. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, performing repairs, installations and maintenance on plant equipment, production machinery, blow mold equipment and facility.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain blow mold/injection mold machines, baggers & other related equipment in optimal processing condition

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems, electrical power supply and control circuits

• Install, adjust and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer and other related equipment

• Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes

• Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses

• Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps

• Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment

• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems

• Perform welding & fabrication as needed

• Solicit information and feedback from other departments toward repair and the efficient operation of machines

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years’ machine maintenance experience, specifically in the manufacturing industry

• 2+ years’ experience as a machine operator

• 2+ years’ experience with blow mold machines

• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required

• Basic math and computer skills

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals

• Ability to work overtime

• Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time

• Must be able to train on 1st shift, if needed
