Handyman/Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across various construction projects. Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in multiple trades while contributing to diverse building and renovation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, and painting to support ongoing projects
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
• Perform demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Install fixtures, doors, cabinets, trim carpentry elements, and hardware with precision
• Conduct basic repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC components under supervision or according to schematics and blueprints
• Assist with concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, and stucco application as needed
• Support heavy equipment operation for site preparation or material transportation when required
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute project plans and specifications
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and construction standards at all times

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is highly preferred
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic heavy equipment operation
• Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes is a plus
• Skills in various trades such as carpentry (including trim carpentry), roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, welding, plastering, fabrication, glass installation, fixture installation, restoration work, hardscape development, caulking, drywall finishing, concrete finishing, framing or remodeling are desirable
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in different weather conditions
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
