Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and hang large hangar doors using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
• Conduct repairs and routine maintenance on existing door systems to ensure optimal performance
• Perform welding, metal stud framing, and fabrication work as needed for door components and structural support
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and repair tasks
• Utilize locksmithing skills for lock installation, adjustments, or replacements on hangar doors
• Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic finishes
• Manage heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as hoists or forklifts
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to door operation including electrical components when applicable
• Collaborate with construction teams during remodeling or new installations on construction sites
• Document work performed through detailed reports and update schematics or technical records accordingly
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times while working at heights or with heavy machinery

Qualifications

• Proven experience with door hanging, glass installation, or similar construction tasks in industrial or commercial environments
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of electrical systems related to door operation is a plus
• Experience in remodeling projects including cabinetry, fixture installation, or carpentry work such as frame carpentry and trim carpentry
• Familiarity with locksmithing procedures for lock installation or repairs
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely
• Construction site experience with metal stud framing or remodeling projects preferred
• Electrical experience relevant to motorized or automated door systems is advantageous
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
