Hardscape Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hardscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscape construction, including paver patios, boulder walls, retaining walls, and other outdoor hardscape features. Our team specializes in custom outdoor projects, so this role requires attention to detail and pride in building high-quality work that is tailored to each client’s property. This position works closely with crew leaders and other team members to construct durable and visually appealing outdoor living spaces.

Duties

• Assist with the installation of custom hardscape features including paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, boulder walls, fire pits, and other outdoor structures.
• Prepare project sites by excavating, grading, and installing proper base materials.
• Lay pavers, natural stone, and wall block with precision to ensure structural integrity and visual quality.
• Work with the crew to build custom landscape and outdoor living projects based on design plans and client needs.
• Utilize hand tools and small equipment necessary for hardscape installation.
• Work under the direction of crew leaders who operate larger machinery and oversee equipment use.
• Transport and place materials such as stone, block, and pavers while maintaining safe work practices.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites and help care for tools and materials.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards throughout all installations.

Experience

• Previous experience in hardscaping, landscape construction, masonry, or related outdoor work is preferred.
• Experience with paver patios, retaining walls, or similar landscape construction is a plus.
• Familiarity with common hand tools used in construction or landscaping.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn custom installation techniques.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
