The main job responsibilities will be:
- To design, develop, ECU hardware schematics, Bill of Materials, and layouts of target hardware in line with the defined hardware, mechanical architecture and all external requirements applicable to hardware.
- To ensure the proper HW development from bring up, to troubleshooting, until reaching a qualified status.
- To animate the design reviews for electronic design scope.
- To ensure a robust design under worst case calculations under the defined mission profiles.
- To target the most efficient design leveraging a platform design.
- To understand Stellantis Domain team requirements, project milestones, technology relevance.
- To handle the hardware DFMEA, FM/DFA, and WCA to develop robust design solutions.
- Responsible for the HIS documents and to define all activation timings at ECU levels.
- To support on demand SW teams for hardware perspective point of view.
- To review and approve the design validation plans and to drive the troubleshooting during design or qualification tests with hardware testing team.
- Work closely with core hardware design engineers and cross-functional teams to execute and deliver.
- To update continuous the lesson learn database and use it during the design reviews for firewall matters.
- To collaborate in a Scaled Agile product delivery team, comprised of cross-functional company peers to continuously prioritize, refine, and deploy components.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace Engineering or related degree field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electronic hardware development.
- Strong teamwork, and good oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently.
- Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, signal generators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in industrial or automotive (preferred) area (TIER1...).
- Solid understanding with embedded electronics design constraints.
- Familiar with system/component design, EE architecture topologies and safety.
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO 26262, NCAP, and other regulations, industry benchmarks and customer requirements.
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Belt certification.
- Solid understanding of system/component design.
- Familiar with vehicle bus: ETH/CAN FD/LIN/LVDS communication protocols and troubleshooting tools.
- Justified experience in EMI/EMC design, test and troubleshooting.
- Justified experience in thermal management for ECU embedded electronics.
- Being able to support/handle more than one expertise domain as a plus.
- Justified experience with leading, coaching, animating, and following up design reviews.
