Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and comfort
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Support medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to ensure safety and compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral health support
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Engage with patients with diverse conditions such as trauma (Level I & II Trauma Centers), ICU cases, pediatric (PICU), post-acute care, hospice, or home & community care settings
- Follow HIPAA guidelines diligently to protect patient confidentiality while managing medical records and documentation accurately
Skills
- Proven experience working in medical environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and infectious disease care
- Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient record management
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and demonstrate competency in aseptic techniques and infection control practices
- Experience with advanced caregiving tools such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids; familiarity with Level I & II trauma centers preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations coupled with excellent communication skills for effective patient service
- Compassionate caregiver with experience supporting individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs including dementia or memory care patients

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
