HCL TX – Backend Developer

Job Summary:

As a Senior HCL TX Backend Developer, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing backend solutions using HCL Digital Experience ( DX)& Total Experience (TX) technologies with a focus on platform and core tools development. The candidate is expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable backend systems and provide technical expertise throughout the software development lifecycle.

Job Description:

• Design and develop custom portlets and services using Java and J2EE technologies within HCL Digital Experience Portal environment
• Implement and maintain backend solutions leveraging HCL DX platform capabilities, including WebSphere Application Server administration
• Develop structured content authoring solutions and workflows using Web Content Manager (WCM)
• Integrate backend systems with LDAP, SSO, and authentication frameworks in DX environments
• Optimize DX caching, page aggregation, and rendering pipelines for enhanced performance
• Build and maintain REST and SOAP services integration with HCL components
• Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and maintain DX clusters in production environments
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools for automated deployment processes
• Perform system-level troubleshooting, log analysis, and performance tuning in HCL DX environments
• Optional: Develop omnichannel applications using Volt MX (formerly Kony) platform
• Optional: Hands-on with Leap development and integration with DX applications.
• Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented as per organization governance model
• Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes for HCL DX development
• Produce Technical Design Documents (TDD) aligned to Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing backend systems and development processes.

Job Specification:

• 8+ years of backend development experience, preferably on enterprise portal solutions
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with HCL Digital Experience (HCL DX)
• Strong expertise in Java / J2EE for custom portlet and service development
• Solid experience with HCL DX Portal, WebSphere Application Server, and WCM
• Experience in end-to-end DX implementations, integrations, and deployments
• Good understanding of authentication, LDAP, SSO, and security frameworks
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and DX performance tuning
• Exposure to containerized environments, Kubernetes, and DX clusters
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Volt MX (Kony) experience is a plus

Pay: Rs250,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
