We are seeking an empathetic, trustworthy, sincere, kind, and positive Head Barista to join our dynamic team at 100 Café. This role is ideal for a passionate coffee professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations, including monitoring expenses and revenues
• Order and manage supplies such as coffee, milk, snacks, takeaway cups, and ingredients
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and sufficient stock levels
• Add and develop new menu items based on seasonality and customer preferences (e.g. vegan options)
• Welcome customers warmly, explain menu items and specials, answer questions, and process orders and payments
• Build friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and enhance the café’s reputation
• Project a positive, professional, and friendly image to guests and team members
• Handle guest complaints and compliments professionally and effectively
• Maintain full knowledge of all menu items and prepare beverages according to standard recipes
• Communicate menu availability and inform guests of low or unavailable items
• Prepare food items such as sandwiches, baked goods, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and salads
• Grind and blend coffee beans, brew coffee and tea, and serve beverages to customers
• Operate and calibrate a La Marzocco coffee machine
• Educate customers on coffee and tea blends, brewing methods, and product differences
• Continuously learn and improve beverage preparation, food quality, and presentation
• Prepare and sell coffee drinks including espresso, café latte, cappuccino, and other specialty beverages
• Package food and beverages for takeaway
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning, sanitizing equipment, restocking work and dining areas, and managing waste
• Update signage and displays to attract customers
• Take inventory and replenish display cases, tables, and counter items
• Work collaboratively as part of a fun, high-energy team
• Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and quality control standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a supervisory or Head Barista role
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, beverage preparation, and café operations
• Experience with La Marzocco coffee machines is required
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Positive attitude, leadership mindset, and strong work ethic
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask efficiently
• Immediate availability
