The Head Barista will lead and manage the coffee program, ensuring world-class beverage quality, consistency, and presentation. This role requires strong leadership, advanced coffee knowledge, and a passion for luxury hospitality.

Coffee & Beverage Standards

  • Prepare and serve specialty coffee and espresso beverages to premium standards
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all shifts
  • Develop and refine coffee recipes aligned with the brand’s French identity
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead, train, and mentor baristas to deliver exceptional service
  • Conduct regular training on coffee knowledge, extraction, milk texturing, and latte art
  • Prepare staff schedules and manage daily barista operations
  • Monitor performance and ensure compliance with SOPs

Operations & Quality Control

  • Manage coffee inventory, ordering, and supplier coordination
  • Ensure compliance with Qatar food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth service flow

Guest Experience

  • Deliver a refined and welcoming café experience
  • Engage with guests and provide coffee recommendations and education
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally
  • Represent the brand as a coffee ambassador

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 4–6 years of professional barista experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or head barista role
  • Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, and equipment
  • Experience in premium cafés, fine dining restaurants, or luxury hotels
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Multicultural team experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
