Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations for healthy monthly meal plans while also supervising the à la carte restaurant menu. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in healthy, calorie-controlled meal preparation, kitchen leadership, and operational excellence. This role requires balancing nutrition-focused production with premium restaurant standards.
Key Responsibilities Meal Plan Operations (DIEAT)
- Plan, develop, and execute monthly meal plan menus for:
- Weight loss
- Muscle gain / athletes
- Balanced lifestyle
- Weight maintenance
- Ensure accurate calorie, protein, carb, and fat control as per approved plans.
- Oversee bulk meal production while maintaining taste, consistency, and presentation.
- Customize meals based on customer allergies, restrictions, and preferences.
- Coordinate closely with operations and delivery teams to ensure on-time and error-free dispatch.
- Monitor shelf life, storage, chilling, and food safety for meal plan items.
À La Carte Restaurant Supervision
- Supervise daily kitchen operations for the à la carte menu.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and plating standards across all dishes.
- Manage menu execution for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.
- Support menu innovation and seasonal updates.
Kitchen Leadership & Management
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff (chefs, commis, kitchen helpers).
- Create duty rosters, production plans, and prep schedules.
- Enforce HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Control food cost, wastage, and inventory.
- Coordinate with procurement for raw materials and quality control.
Quality & Performance Control
- Conduct daily quality checks on meal plans and restaurant dishes.
- Ensure standard recipes and portion control are strictly followed.
- Work with management on performance improvement and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef (meal plans, healthy concepts, or high-volume kitchens preferred).
- Strong knowledge of nutrition-focused cooking and calorie-controlled meals.
- Experience handling bulk production + restaurant operations.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of HACCP and UAE food safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple kitchen functions.
- Creativity with healthy ingredients while maintaining premium taste.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with diet meal plans, gym meals, or athlete nutrition.
- Background in healthy cafés, cloud kitchens, or wellness brands.
- Experience in the UAE or GCC market is an advantage.
