Job Purpose:

  • Setting the strategic direction for the digital engineering unit, and ensuring alignment with the bank's broader objectives
  • Driving innovation and digital transformation within the bank, with a focus on developing and maintaining cutting-edge digital products and services that enhance customer experiences and drive the bank's competitiveness in the digital era.
  • Responsible for assembling and managing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, and attracting and retaining top talent in the digital engineering space.
  • Ensure seamless user experience across all banking channels


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the digital engineering unit's strategic plan.
  • Accountable for aligning digital initiatives with the bank's overall strategic objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing digital engineering team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the unit.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach through user research and feedback collection.
  • Drive continuous improvement of digital services to meet customer needs.
  • Development and grooming of Team Members in a way that helps the bank.

  • Ensure all digital systems and services comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for digital initiatives.
  • Implement agile methodologies for flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Promote a culture of innovation within the unit, exploring new technologies and solutions.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the bank's digital capabilities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering/IT/Computer Applications.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Product Owner (CPO)


Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Banking Channels, payments and cards, minimum 8 years leading a team in this area.
  • Proven experience in leading digital engineering teams within the financial services or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of web and mobile development, payment processing, and card technologies.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to drive digital transformation and innovation.
