Head IT Infrastructure & Security

Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure. This includes everything from servers and networks to data centers and security measures. The incumbent should ensure that these systems are online, functional, and secure, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime and set the direction for the organization's IT infrastructure while managing day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Management:

  • Developing Infrastructure Strategies: Creating and implementing long-term plans to ensure the organization's infrastructure remains up-to-date and aligned with business goals.
  • Setting Standards: Establishing hardware and software standards in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Budgeting: Managing budgets for infrastructure projects and ensuring cos effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management: Overseeing relationships with vendors and negotiating contracts.

Operational Management & Maintenance:

  • System Monitoring: Ensuring systems are running optimally and proactively addressing any issues.
  • Incident Management: Implementing and managing processes for incident response and resolution.
  • Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the infrastructure.
  • Disaster Recovery: Developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Team Management: Leading and mentoring a team of IT professionals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with other departments to understand their IT needs and ensure alignment.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.

Specific areas of focus may include:

  • Server Management: Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers.
  • Network Management: Managing the organization's network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and the internet.
  • Data Center Management: Overseeing the operations of the data center, including physical security, power, and cooling.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Managing cloud-based resources and services.

In essence, Infrastructure Managers are responsible for the entire lifecycle of the IT infrastructure, from design and implementation to maintenance and eventual retirement. Their work ensures that the technology underpinning the organization's operations runs smoothly and efficiently.

Pay: AED25,000.00 - AED28,000.00 per hour
