Head / Joinery supervisor

Oversee all joinery and carpentry operations from design interpretation to final installation, ensuring quality craftsmanship and timely delivery.

Supervise and lead a team of carpenters, joiners, and apprentices, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project timelines.

Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution and adherence to design intent.

Plan material requirements, manage inventory, and coordinate procurement of timber, hardware, and finishing materials.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies in the workshop and on-site.

Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and finish, ensuring it meets company and client standards.

Collaborate with project managers, designers, and site supervisors to resolve technical issues and maintain smooth workflow.

Train and mentor team members to enhance skill levels and promote consistent quality.

Manage workshop schedules, equipment maintenance, and manpower allocation for multiple projects.

Report on production progress, quality issues, and project status to senior management.

Requirements:

Proven experience (5+ years) in joinery/carpentry supervision or a related leadership role.

Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and finishing standards.

Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on experience with tools, machinery, and workshop safety procedures.
