HEAD, MECHANICAL OPS ENG (FACILITIES)

Primary Purpose of the Job:

Act as the liaison point with Dukhan Operating Departments and Oversees the complete lifecycle of MoC projects, from front-end engineering design through tendering process, contract award, detail engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Responsible for developing and reviewing technical specifications for facility static and piping equipment, plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficient performance of mechanical systems, including piping and static equipment, within the project or facility.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 15 years experience in Design/consulting field on Static & Minor R/E with at least 7 years in maintenance/commissioning of static plant equipment within the Oil & Gas /Petrochemical Industry. Previous experience in a senior or lead mechanical engineer position is required.
• Possess extensive experience in the specification, tender, award, installation, maintenance, and commissioning of Mechanical project contract works. Good communication, negotiation, leadership, project management and motivational skills.
• Must demonstrate a good knowledge of project management and administration process. Professional certification in project management such as PMP or IPMA is preferable.
• Membership of a recognised professional engineering association or institution is preferable.
• Attended specialized courses in areas related to Mechanical engineering and project management.
• Computer literate in mainstream Office products, have had exposure to online management, document and maintenance systems including SAP.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering preferably Mechanical engineering from a recognised University.
