Position: Nursing Section Head
Location: Trivandrum, Kerala
Purpose
The Nursing Section Head – Palliative Care will lead and oversee the nursing services across all palliative care settings of Pallium India, including inpatient, outpatient, and home care. The position ensures the provision of compassionate, ethical, and high-quality palliative nursing care while upholding the organization’s mission of alleviating health-related suffering. The role requires strong leadership, clinical excellence, and the ability to mentor and guide a multidisciplinary nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Management
· Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations.
· Ensure adherence to nursing protocols and palliative care standards.
· Ensure safe medication administration and adherence to infection control and patient safety guidelines.
· Participate in case discussions, care planning, and interdisciplinary review meetings.
Leadership & Supervision
· Provide leadership, motivation, and mentorship to the nursing team.
· Plan and maintain effective staffing patterns and duty rosters.
· Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
· Foster a team culture based on empathy, respect, and collaboration.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
· Implement quality improvement measures to enhance patient care outcomes.
· Ensure compliance with institutional, ethical, and legal requirements.
· Participate in audits, incident reviews, and root-cause analyses to improve service delivery.
Training & Development
· Organize and facilitate ongoing training programs in palliative nursing, communication, and ethics.
· Mentor nurses and support capacity-building initiatives within Pallium India and partner organizations.
Administration
· Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation and records.
· Manage procurement and inventory of nursing supplies and equipment.
· Contribute to departmental budgeting and policy development.
· Liaise effectively with doctors, social workers, volunteers, and administrative staff for holistic care delivery.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to ₹45,000.00 per month
