About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on
Head of Back Office
to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and leading our back-office operations from scratch.
Please note, this is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the
TraderNet trading and back-office platform
, ensuring full integration with custodians, banks, and regulatory reporting systems.

Train internal teams
on TraderNet usage, procedures, and best practices; provide ongoing support to ensure optimal system performance.

Develop and enforce
back-office policies and procedures
in alignment with
FSRA regulations
; work closely with Compliance to maintain audit readiness.

Oversee accurate and timely settlement of
DMA and OTC trades
, coordinating with custodians, brokers, and clearing agents.

Monitor and manage
corporate actions
, investigating issues and escalating to custodians or internal stakeholders as needed.

Handle
daily banking operations
, including payments, fund transfers, and cash movements across client and house accounts.

Perform
daily reconciliations
of cash, securities, and positions between internal records, custodians, and banks; resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Ensure data integrity across all back-office systems—including trades, positions, client accounts, and balances.

Collaborate with
front office, compliance, finance, risk, and IT
to maintain smooth operational flows and resolve issues efficiently.

Drive
process improvement initiatives
to enhance efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and improve automation.

Provide support for
client post-trade queries
, including settlements, account setup, and statements.

Prepare internal operational reports and support
regulatory and audit processes
related to back-office activities.
Qualifications
-
Fluency in Russian and English is a must.

Deep understanding of post-trade operations, including settlements, corporate actions, payments, and reconciliations.

Strong knowledge of FSRA regulations or equivalent regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCA, ESMA) within licensed financial institutions.

Proven experience in implementing and managing back-office platforms such as TraderNet or comparable systems.

Skilled in developing and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that meet both regulatory and operational requirements.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with front office, compliance, finance, and IT to ensure seamless operations.

Detail-oriented with a strong track record of identifying and resolving process breaks, mismatches, and operational gaps.

Practical approach to establishing internal controls and mitigating operational risks in high-paced environments.
