HIRING: HEAD OF COMPLIANCE
A client of Ortak Consultants (Pvt.) Limited is looking for "Head of Compliance"
Location: Shahra -e- Faisal, Karachi
Industry: Insurance/Financial Services
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance, AML/CFT, internal audit, or regulatory affairs within insurance/financial services.
- Managerial experience with exposure to Board and senior management interaction.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, governance standards, and compliance risk management.
- High integrity, critical thinking, conflict management, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a robust Compliance Management System aligned with SECP regulations, Insurance Ordinance, Companies Act, Corporate Governance Code, AML/CFT, and cybersecurity guidelines.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise the Board and senior management on compliance implications.
- Conduct risk-based compliance monitoring, testing, and compliance risk assessments.
- Oversee investigations of regulatory violations or whistleblower cases and ensure corrective actions.
- Submit compliance reports to the Board and regulatory authorities (SECP).
- Ensure adherence to Corporate Governance requirements and verify SECP “Fit & Proper” criteria for directors and key officers.
- Ensure full AML/CFT compliance including KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, and reporting of suspicious activities to the FMU.
- Provide compliance guidance for new products, distribution channels, and technology initiatives
- Collaborate with Internal Audit and Finance to strengthen internal controls and governance.
- Develop and deliver compliance training for employees, Board members, and intermediaries.
- Provide compliance advisory for new products, distribution channels, and technology initiatives.
