Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Science to lead advanced analytics initiatives, oversee machine learning projects, and align data strategies with organizational goals. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver scalable data solutions that support innovation and sustainable energy practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Strategy: Define and implement enterprise-wide data science frameworks.
• Advanced Analytics: Lead predictive modeling, demand forecasting, and optimization systems.
• Machine Learning: Oversee design, training, and deployment of ML models for energy applications.
• Data Engineering: Ensure robust data pipelines and infrastructure for analytics applications.
• Risk Management: Identify data-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to GCC regulations, ISO standards, and data governance frameworks.
• Collaboration: Partner with executives, IT, and energy operations teams to align data initiatives with business objectives.
• Team Leadership: Mentor data scientists and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in data science, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of data science frameworks and GCC energy environments.
• Expertise in Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial sectors preferred.

Pay: RO2,800.000 - RO4,000.000 per month
