Head of Design- Landscaping

We are hiring for Head of Design having strong expertise in Landscaping and swimming pool projects.

The Head of Design will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process for all landscaping and swimming pool projects. This includes managing the design team, developing creative concepts, collaborating with clients, and ensuring that all designs align with the company’s standards for innovation, sustainability, and functionality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in landscape architecture, pool design, and a passion for creating exceptional outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Leadership

• Lead the creative vision for all landscaping and swimming pool projects, ensuring designs are aligned with client needs, aesthetic preferences, and functional requirements.
• Oversee the development of concept designs, mood boards, 3D renderings, and construction drawings for residential and commercial projects.
• Ensure all designs reflect industry best practices, environmental sustainability, and regulatory standards.
• Innovate and incorporate new design trends, materials, and technologies to keep the company’s portfolio fresh and cutting-edge.

• Team Management and Development

• Manage and mentor a talented team of landscape architects, designers, and draughts people.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to team members, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
• Set clear performance objectives, oversee project timelines, and ensure designs are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality and consistency of work.

• Client Collaboration and Relationship Management

• Work closely with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and project requirements.
• Present design proposals and concepts to clients, making adjustments based on their feedback while maintaining the integrity of the design.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients during the design phase, managing expectations and communicating progress.

• Project Oversight and Coordination
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the design vision is accurately executed.
• Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure designs are feasible and comply with local regulations.
• Conduct site visits to assess design implementation, make adjustments as necessary, and resolve any design-related issues during the build phase.

• Quality Control and Innovation

• Ensure that all designs meet the highest quality standards, from conceptual design to finished installation.
• Promote sustainability in all projects by incorporating eco-friendly materials, water-saving technologies, and native plants where appropriate.
• Stay up to date with new trends in landscaping, pool design, and outdoor living to continually push the boundaries of design excellence.

• Budget and Resource Management
• Work with the sales and project management teams to prepare accurate design cost estimates and ensure that designs align with the project budget.
• Select materials, plants, and finishes that balance aesthetic appeal with cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring design-related costs are accurately represented.
