Position Overview:
The Head of Digital Commerce will lead NCH’s digital transformation journey, owning the strategy, P&L, and execution of all digital channels. This role will be accountable for driving sustainable revenue growth across marketplaces, brand.com, D2C, Q-commerce, and social commerce, while ensuring seamless omnichannel integration with NCH’s retail and distribution networks.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Head of Digital Commerce will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution. The role will also champion innovation, data-driven decision making, and organisational capability building, positioning NCH as a leader in healthcare, wellness, and FMCG e-commerce across the GCC and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Strategy & Transformation

Define and implement the digital commerce roadmap across marketplaces, D2C, aggregators, Q-commerce, and social commerce.

Lead digital transformation initiatives including re-platforming, headless commerce, ERP/CRM integrations, and omnichannel enablement.

Develop governance models, steering committees, and change programmes to embed digital into the organisation’s DNA.

Scale e-commerce across GCC markets, balancing global best practices with local market adaptations.
2. P&L Ownership & Commercial Leadership

Own the full e-commerce P&L including sales forecasting, budgeting, profitability, and ROI.

Negotiate joint business plans with major platforms (Amazon, Noon, Mumzworld, Carrefour, etc.) and secure advantageous trade terms.

Drive profitability by optimising customer acquisition cost (CAC), customer lifetime value (CLV), and marketing investment.

Align category, brand, and channel strategies to deliver long-term growth.
3. Customer Experience & Omnichannel Integration

Champion a mobile-first, seamless customer journey across brand.com, apps, and marketplaces.

Lead omnichannel initiatives such as click & collect, endless aisle, loyalty integration, and return-in-store models to connect offline retail with digital channels.

Oversee loyalty and subscription commerce programmes to deepen retention and engagement.

Deploy personalisation engines, conversational commerce (WhatsApp, chatbots), and emerging digital touchpoints.
4. Innovation & Future Models

Explore and launch new commerce models including subscription, Q-commerce, social commerce, and aggregator partnerships, ensuring reach and convenience for customers.

Pilot and scale emerging technologies, AI-driven recommendations, and advanced analytics.

Establish a culture of experimentation with A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and proof-of-concept pilots.

Benchmark against leading global players to ensure NCH stays ahead of digital disruption.
5. Data, Analytics & Insights

Build a performance culture through advanced analytics, data science, and BI dashboards (GA4, Power BI, AI/ML models).

Monitor KPIs including revenue growth, CR%, AOV, CLV, ROI, and retention, ensuring real-time decision making.

Translate insights into actionable strategies for pricing, promotions, assortment, and digital media spend.

Oversee data governance and compliance across digital channels.
6. Leadership & Organisational Development

Build, lead, and scale a high-performing digital commerce organisation, designing the right structure, roles, and capabilities.

Establish a Digital Centre of Excellence to share best practices and standardise processes across markets.

Mentor senior managers and specialists, developing the next generation of digital leaders.

Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Executive Team on digital market dynamics and transformation opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
-
12–15 years of progressive experience in e-commerce and digital commerce, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven success in managing large-scale e-commerce P&Ls, driving double-digit revenue growth, and delivering profitability.
-
Strong experience across multiple digital commerce models (marketplaces, D2C, omnichannel, Q-commerce, subscription, social commerce).
-
Prior experience in FMCG, healthcare, nutraceuticals, or consumer goods sectors within GCC or international markets preferred.

Demonstrated record of leading cross-market expansion, digital transformation, and platform re-engineering initiatives.
Technical & Functional Skills

Advanced understanding of digital platforms (Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, headless commerce).

Expertise in digital marketing levers (SEO, SEM, CRM, programmatic media, performance marketing).

Strong knowledge of analytics and BI tools (GA4, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, SQL) and hands-on experience with A/B testing, CRO, and personalisation engines.

Familiarity with AI/ML applications in e-commerce, AR/VR use cases, and conversational commerce (WhatsApp, chatbots).

Knowledge of compliance, data privacy, and regulatory frameworks relevant to digital trade in GCC.
