Head of Ecommerce

We are seeking a dynamic business lead to join our team and spearhead the strategic development and execution for our online business. As the Business Manager, you will be responsible for shaping our business strategy across channels, enhancing brand awareness, and driving engagement to elevate our online luxury website to new heights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement brand initiatives that resonate with our target audience and reinforce our position as the one-stop shop for luxury fashion & lifestyle category. This is a leadership role and you will be leading a team of 30 employees across Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, Customer Care and Creative & Content.


Responsibilities:


Performance Analysis and P&L Ownership: Driving revenue growth through sales, marketing, business development, monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives and optimize strategies for maximum impact.

  • Plan, forecast, report on sales, costs and business performance, according to company/brand requirements.
  • Develop strategies and plans for business expansion and future development.
  • Guide “Buyer” on creating the right product and price mix.
  • Oversee advertising and promotional strategy and activities.
  • Manage costs and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the business.
  • Liaise with external agencies and authorities as necessary (advertising, PR, recruitment, training, customer care tools, etc.).
  • Review overall performance on KPIs–performance, merchandising, audit scores and manpower.


Partner Management: Liaise with 500+ brand principals to drive business based on market research and past product performance. Driving quarterly reviews for key brands live on platform


Brand Positioning: Define and communicate the unique value proposition of our brand, positioning us as a leader in the luxury e-commerce space.


Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform brand strategy and identify growth opportunities.


People Skills and Leadership : Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including merchandising, design, and customer service, to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all touchpoints. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in brand management, preferably within the luxury retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, affiliate & email marketing and SEO/SEM.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling brand narratives and engage diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for luxury fashion and lifestyle.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
