Head of Engineering/Tech - ECommerce

Purpose of the Role / JD*Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business and growth goals
Lead digital transformation for travel booking, payments, and supplier integrations
Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on tech investments, scalability, and security
Build and mentor high-performing engineering and IT teams.

Product & Platform Development
Oversee development of:
Travel booking engines (flights, hotels, tours, packages)
Web & mobile applications (B2C / B2B / admin panels)
CMS for travel content, pricing, and promotions
Ensure high availability, low latency, and seamless UX
Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams

System Architecture & Integrations
Design scalable, secure, cloud-based architecture
Manage integrations with:
GDS / Travel APIs (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, etc.)
Payment gateways (local & international)
CRM, ERP, and accounting systems
Ensure API reliability and data consistency

Security, Compliance & Risk
Ensure data security, PCI-DSS compliance, and GDPR best practices
Implement fraud prevention for bookings and payments
Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Operations & Performance
Monitor uptime, system performance, and incident response
Manage vendors, outsourced partners, and SaaS tools
Control technology budget and cost optimizationRequired Education for Position*Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
Master’s degree is a plusRequired Experience for Position*8-10 Years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs400,000.00 - Rs600,000.00 per month
