Job Purpose:
To lead the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) function across all mining and processing operations of
Globa Core Metals Ltd
. This position will ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, safe working conditions, and implementation of a proactive safety culture aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies, policies, and procedures for all operational areas.

Ensure compliance with national HSE laws, mining safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits across mine sites and processing facilities.

Establish training programs to build HSE awareness and competence among employees and contractors.

Oversee incident reporting and investigation processes to identify root causes and corrective actions.

Monitor environmental impact of operations, including water usage, waste disposal, and emissions.

Coordinate emergency response plans and drills in collaboration with relevant departments.

Engage with regulatory bodies and prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance reports.

Lead a team of HSE professionals and collaborate with operational leaders to embed safety into daily routines.

Continuously monitor and improve HSE performance metrics and safety culture indicators.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) preferred.

12-15 years of experience in HSE roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position in the mining or heavy industrial sector.

Strong understanding of HSE challenges in remote mining operations and gold processing environments.
