The Role
- Define and execute the firm’s integrated events and partnerships vision, strategy, and KPIs • Align conferences, client events, and internal experiences with business growth priorities and brand positioning • Prioritise event investments based on strategic value, relationship impact, and return on engagement • Ensure a coherent and differentiated presence across all internal and external engagements • Monitor competitive presence and industry trends across engagement platforms Lead conference and external platform strategy • Drive the firm’s participation in conferences and external platforms, ensuring alignment with priority geographies/growth markets, sector focus areas, and business development objectives • Guide selection, prioritisation, and activation of conferences to maximise visibility and relationship-building impact • Identify opportunities to expand the firm’s footprint across priority sectors, territories, and stakeholder communities • Ensure conferences and external engagements contribute to measurable lead generation and relationship-building outcomes • Partner with the CRM team to integrate event participation data into pipeline tracking and follow-up processes Drive brand relationships and strategic partnerships • Cultivate and manage high-impact external partnerships with influencers, conference organisers,government bodies, universities, and industry forums • Drive knowledge partnerships, curated speaking roles, and co-created thought leadership opportunities • Advise senior stakeholders on relationship management strategies and external engagement priorities • Serve as a strategic connector across Recruiting, Social Impact, Learning & Development, and other functions to maximise partnership value • Partner with Recruiting to build relationships with diverse institutions and talent organisations to support attraction objectives Elevate client event strategy and experience • Plan client-facing events and define differentiated client engagement formats - including webinars, executive roundtables, conference-hosted side events - aligned to stages of the decision-making funnel • Ensure client-facing events strengthen relationships, support pipeline objectives and long-term account development goals, and reflect high standards of brand and experience Define, design, and elevate the firm’s internal event experience • Define the strategy, standards, and ambition for internal events across the firm, ensuring experiences are purposeful, differentiated, and reflective of the firm's culture and priorities • Set the experience bar for office, practice, leadership, and community events, ensuring moments feel intentional, connected, and worth attending • Guide the events team in shaping coherent internal experiences that reinforce belonging, alignment, and shared identity • Develop and maintain a playbook for curating and organizing engaging internal events • Ensure internal events are sequenced strategically across the year to build momentum rather than operate as isolated moments • Align internal experiences with broader people storytelling and firm-wide narratives in partnership with the Community Engagement team Govern budgets and vendor ecosystem • Oversee events budgets across conferences, client events, and internal engagements • Ensure financial discipline and alignment between investment and strategic outcomes • Manage and evaluate vendor partners across event production, sponsorships, venues, and external platforms • Identify opportunities to scale impact through partnerships and operational efficiencies
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in events strategy, partnerships, brand engagement, or related roles • Demonstrated experience leading conference strategy, sponsorship programs, client engagement initiatives, and internal event portfolios • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and vendor ecosystems • Experience working closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
