The Role
WE are Looking for a strategic business leader responsible for financial strategy, group governance, JV financial management, banking, funding, and risk control. They will oversee all finance functions across group companies and joint ventures, including cash flow management, capital structuring, ERP implementation, audit oversight, and policy governance, ensuring compliance and performance alignment with group objectives. This role requires a hands-on, commercially strategic leader experienced in managing complex multi-entity and JV structures, and large-scale financial operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Leadership • Lead the Group’s overall financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s growth objectives and shareholder vision. • Strategic advice the management and Board on capital allocation, financial performance, and investment opportunity and risk management. • Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning across the group and Present key initiatives to the Board and shareholders. • Develop KPI-based performance dashboards and executive MIS reporting systems. 2. Investment Strategy & Capital Allocation • Develop and execute the Group’s investment and capital allocation strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities to ensure optimal ROI and balanced risk exposure. • Manage capital deployment across subsidiaries, business units, and JVs in line with strategic priorities ensuring optimal returns and balanced risk exposure. • Drive portfolio management, including performance tracking, benchmarking, and reporting on investment outcomes. • Lead and support fundraising initiatives including equity, debt, and JV structures while managing relationships with banks, investors, private equity firms, and financial institutions. • Maintain strict capital discipline, ensuring investments are supported by sustainable funding sources, liquidity planning, and ROI justification. 3. Treasury and Cash Flow Management • Oversee cash flow planning, consolidate financial statement, liquidity management, and funding for Group. • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and bank guarantees. • Establish mechanisms for escrow accounts, monthly JV withdrawals, and payment governance. • Implement funds management frameworks to ensure efficient intercompany reconciliation and payment processing across the group. 4. Audit, Risk & Compliance • Lead internal and external audits for the Group and JVs, ensuring timely closure and corrective actions. • Oversee risk management frameworks (RAG), Delegation of Authority (DOA), and financial control systems. • Ensure full compliance with Corporate Tax, VAT, AML, ESR, and audit regulations in all jurisdictions. • Conduct tax studies and risk assessments for group and JV structures. 5. Financial Reporting & Control • Supervise consolidated financial statements, intercompany reconciliations, and JV-specific reports. • Ensure accurate IFRS-based financial reporting and monthly group consolidations. • Develop MIS and financial dashboards for real-time decision-making. • Establish standardized financial policies and SOPs, including payment SOPs and approval protocols. • Oversee JV cash flow monitoring, monthly withdrawal approvals, and payment processing oversight. 6. Systems, ERP & Automation • Lead ERP implementation, integration, automation of reporting, analytics across the Group. • Build system-driven controls for payment authorization, budget tracking, and variance analysis. 7. Governance & Intercompany Framework • Manage intercompany contracts, service agreements, and fund transfer mechanisms. • Lead channel connect governance ensuring accountability in JV and partner payments. 8. Leadership & Team Management • Mentor and oversee finance managers across Group companies and JVs. • Build a collaborative, high-performing finance culture with focus on accuracy, compliance, and growth. • Develop succession plans and strengthen cross-entity finance capabilities. 9. Board, Shareholders, M&A • Maintain strong relationships with investors, VCs, private equity firms, banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies. • Prepare detailed financial analysis, projections, and risk assessments for board review. • Support M&A activities and due diligence processes as required. • Present financial performance, strategy, and key initiatives to the Board and shareholders.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience Experience: • 15–20 years of progressive finance experience. • 10 years in operational finance (FP&A, accounting, reporting, compliance). • 5 years in capital markets, portfolio management, or project financing. • 5 years in senior leadership, leading diversified groups or holding companies. • Experience managing billions of dirhams in assets, revenues, or investment value. • Proven experience managing multi-entity groups, JVs, and complex cross-border operations. • Strong sector knowledge in real estate, energy, trading, and investment management. • Prior exposure to Joint Ventures, multi-entity financial consolidations, and escrow management. Education & Certifications: • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration – mandatory. • ACCA / ACA – mandatory. • CPA, CIA, or CFA – highly desirable. • MBA / Executive MBA from a top-tier business school (e.g., LBS) – desirable. Technical Skills: • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, audit, taxation, and corporate finance principles. • Advanced proficiency in ERP and BI tools (SAP, Oracle, Power BI). • Strong command of financial modeling, valuation, and performance analytics. • Proven ability to manage banking, funding, treasury, and JV financial governance. • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
