USPB Risk CAO organization provides a global focus for risk management strategy/execution oversight for compliance with Citi Policies and Regulatory requirements, and driving Strong Risk Management - for USPB Risk, Wealth Risk and Legacy Franchises/Banking & International Retail Risk Management. The USPB Risk Reporting Director role and function is responsible for global and independent risk reporting for USPB CRO organization, and consumer/retail risk reporting for Wealth CRO, Legacy Franchises Banking & International-Retail CRO and other key enterprise level consumer/retail risk reporting to Citi CRO, Board and Regulators. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for providing time and quality insights and information compliant with BCBS 239 and other applicable regulations and Citi policies governing risk aggregations and reporting, and supporting department objectives related to risk digitization, reporting/analytics talent development, BCBS239 controls, strategic data sourcing, client engagement, and related path to strong and consent order transformation programs. The role will report directly to USPB Risk CAO and will be an integral member of that leadership
The Director of the USPB Risk Reporting team is a senior management level position responsible for managing all aspects of reporting department including engagement with stakeholders, management of staff and partnership with delivery/execution peers.
As the role and function support the reporting and analytics needs of the USPB Chief Risk Officer (CRO), as well as consumer/retail risk reporting needs of Wealth CRO and Legacy Franchises/Banking & International CRO, ensuring consistency and efficiency in reporting, with clear prioritization and well managed execution is critical for success. This role will interact directly with these CROs and their management team. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate and interact with senior Risk leadership and partner effectively with other reporting/tech/data leads for delivering seamless and aligned transformation of USPB Risk/consumer risk reporting to overall retail risk target state while supporting quality day to day BAU execution.
The role will manage senior reporting team of 6+ direct staff in US, and partner with technology/data/analytics peers within USPB Risk CAO, and leverage USPB Risk CAO India shared services team to deliver BAU risk reports, meet new reporting needs and innovate/digitize risk reporting for transformation to defined strong risk management target state. The reporting director and his team will partners closely with CROs and key risk managers in 1st and 2nd lines of defense to re/design and operationalize delivery of required management information, leveraging systems of record and authorized data sources through new self-service analytics capabilities and automation tools.
In addition to strong analytics and (BI) business intelligence skills, this role requires a deep understanding of information and insights critical for governance and monitoring of quantity and quality of risk management of consumer/retail exposures - across full credit life cycle and including adherence to capital based stress loss limits, other risk appetite guardrails and performance benchmarks, recession readiness playbooks and for overall assessment of state of risk.
