Job Mission

The Head of Integrated Portfolio Strategy for Roche Pharma Egypt affiliate will inspire and enable the development and execution of integrated therapeutic area (TA) strategies that shape and advance our Roche portfolio.

The Head of Integrated Portfolio Strategy will play a pivotal role in aligning internal resources, capabilities, and communication efforts to ensure the successful delivery of our current and future portfolio outcomes and deliverables.

As a Visionary leader, you ensure that the strategy and marketing teams are working closely to drive an integrated Customer centric and digitally enabled strategy.

You are a leader that has the ability to possess deep strategic insight, a collaborative mindset, and strong experience in portfolio management, cross-functional leadership, and shaping our future prioritized pipeline.

As the Head of Integrated Portfolio Strategy, you will report directly to the General Manager and serve as a key member of the Executive Enabling Team. In this role, you will lead a team of 10–12 senior leaders across two strategic functions—Marketing and the Integrated portfolio strategy teams—spanning key disease areas. Together, you will drive and enable the full Roche portfolio across Egypt.

Your Impact

Executive Leadership & Strategic Contribution

  • Serve as an executive leader within the Enabling Team, actively contributing to enterprise-level strategy and decision-making
  • Co-lead the development of a compelling, inclusive affiliate strategy—grounded in cross-functional input and aligned with the company’s long-term mission and ambition
  • Role-model enterprise leadership by balancing functional priorities with broader organizational impact.
  • Maintain and strengthen the affiliate’s culture through continuous employee listening and engagement sensing, helping to prioritize and embed key behaviors
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous improvement within the Enabling Team and across the organization



Portfolio Strategy Enablement

  • Lead and drive the overall portfolio’s ambitions and long-term strategic outcomes by coaching and mentoring ISLs to properly embed, craft and lead the DA integrated strategy approach and its related frameworks and capabilities
  • Lead the portfolio resource modeling across all disease areas to ensure proper allocation and strategy enablement with the right resources from people and financial stand point; aligned with business long term ambitions, while resourcing for the anticipated future pipeline for the affiliate
  • Enable future-fit local portfolio prioritization in alignment with corporate direction.
  • Act as a catalyst by fostering executive alignment at the Leadership team level and above, removing escalated barriers and accelerating the design and empowerment of well-architected, end-to-end pods focused on sustainable impact and long-term value realization

Financial Management and Budgeting:

  • Lead the integrated portfolio business and financial planning, including budget allocation and utilization, in alignment with the Head of Finance
  • Ensure strategic alignment, financial discipline, and informed investment decisions to support mid- and long-term resource needs—ultimately enabling organizational sustainability and accelerating patient outcomes

Resource Planning and Deployment

  • Be accountable for the overall resource strategy setting, deployment and execution ensuring alignment with current strategy and future pipeline.
  • Act as a senior creative leader, identifying challenges within enabling teams and above-country structures, while shaping cross-functional resource planning and influencing strategic workforce decisions.
  • Translate corporate and business strategies into actionable plans for ISLs, enabling agile and impactful talent deployment from the ISLs and Marketeers across pods to meet evolving portfolio needs

Commercial Engagement

  • Architect and lead a high-performing team of ISLs and marketing enablers to design and co-realize an integrated, customer-centric disease area (DA) strategy
  • Empower and coach ISLs while ensuring marketing and brand plans are fully embedded and aligned within the overall DA commercial strategy
  • Indirectly enable the affiliate digital enabler to catalyze and foster close collaboration with ISLs and core enabling functions to drive strategic digital integration tailored to fit the customer needs
  • Inspire alignment through clear articulation of the corporate strategy and ambition, with the goal of co-creating a shared strategic agenda focused on delivering triple-win outcomes — generating meaningful impact for patients, healthcare systems, and the business

Coaching & Decision Support

  • As a VACC leader, the Coach role is a fundamental enabler that fosters a team culture of growth mindset, self awareness, curiosity and enterprise thinking by asking powerful questions, offering constructive feedback, and creating space for reflection.
  • Support both individual and collective development through regular, focused growth discussions that align personal aspirations with business needs
  • Craft tailored career development plans that accelerate individual progress toward long-term ambitions or deepen capabilities within current roles. Ensure team harmony and high performance by nurturing a strong sense of purpose, collaboration, and shared growth across the ISL and Marketing functions

License To Operate

  • Ensure integrity, compliance, and maintain our License to Operate in all external engagements, partnerships, collaborations, interfaces, decisions, negotiations, and contracting in Egypt.
  • Ensure that the function proactively engages with internal compliance and legal resources to ensure full compliance before taking action and/or committing Roche to activities externally.

Who You Are

  • Educational Background: You hold a university degree in Sciences and/or Business Administration, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Experience: You bring 13-15 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a proven track record in strategic sales, marketing, business development and are well-versed in modern commercial tools and integrated product planning.A minimum of 2–3 years as a member of an executive leadership team is essential. Fluency in English is considered a strong asset
  • People Development: You have a strong track record in people leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing teams. You excel in cross-functional leadership, leading through influence in matrix environments and building trust with senior stakeholders
  • Change management & creative Leadership: You bring strong change management skills, with the ability to foster transparent, value-driven cultures that balance business performance with employee growth. You are resilient, self-driven, and courageous—comfortable leading with authenticity and vulnerability
  • Enterprise & Systems Thinker: You are a visionary thinker, able to connect the dots across functions, geographies, and perspectives. You translate complex ideas into clear, actionable strategies and measurable outcomes, always keeping the broader enterprise view in focus
