About the Position:
As the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance, you will be the strategic anchor for audit, risk, compliance, and legal governance across Emirates Logistics' international business. You’ll ensure that our operations not only meet but exceed global regulatory standards — while aligning with internal controls, ethical practices, and international business expectations.

Job Responsibilities:
Internal Audit

Design and implement a global audit strategy, grounded in risk-based assessment across departments (Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, etc.)

Lead and execute multi-country audits, ensuring control effectiveness, compliance, and operational efficiency

Deliver high-impact reporting to executive leadership and track closure of audit findings across regions
Legal & Compliance

Monitor and ensure compliance with cross-border regulations: trade laws, customs, freight, labor laws, and Freezone regulations

Provide legal guidance on contracts, commercial agreements, and international partnerships

Work with external legal counsel where needed on multi-jurisdictional matters

Develop and maintain compliance frameworks across all operational geographies
Risk & Global Governance

Identify operational, legal, and reputational risks across Emirates Logistics’ global footprint

Enforce compliance with anti-bribery, anti-corruption, sanctions, export controls, and data privacy regulations

Champion a culture of ethical business practices and corporate accountability
Training & Culture

Lead compliance and audit awareness programs across all business units and countries

Collaborate with HR and operations to drive continuous education on global standards

ertifications & Industry Standards

Support business units in attaining and maintaining certifications like: ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, TAPA, LEED, AEO, and other global logistics and sustainability benchmarks

Oversee readiness for internal and external certification audits

Stay ahead of emerging compliance and industry standards globally
Desired Skills required:

10+ years of leadership in internal audit, legal compliance, or risk management, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain

Proven experience navigating multi-jurisdictional legal and compliance challenges

Strong working knowledge of international logistics regulations, Freezone laws, and customs frameworks

Ability to assess, design, and enforce controls across diverse cultural and regulatory environments

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related field (Legal qualification is a plus)

Certifications like CIA, CFE, ISO Lead Auditor, or NEBOSH are highly desirabl

UAE Driving License is a requirement.
