About Chai Vision

Chai Vision is a fast-growing eCommerce company managing a portfolio of direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands across high-impact categories—from fitness and wellness to home goods, pet care, children’s products, outdoor products, kitchen essentials, and supplements. We scale rapidly on platforms like Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop through a data-driven, community-first approach and a relentless focus on product-market fit.

The organization is driven by a data-informed approach to growth, disciplined operational execution, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and customer experiences at scale. Chai Vision continues to invest in expanding its omnichannel sales strategy and retail presence worldwide, offering team members the opportunity to contribute within a fast-paced, performance-oriented organization focused on sustainable growth and long-term value creation.

Role Summary

The Head of Inventory Planning & Forecasting exists to bring strategic leadership to Chai Vision’s inventory planning and demand forecasting function. The team executes well, but has operated without a dedicated strategic leader—resulting in reactive restocking, forecast drift, and missed fill-rate opportunities across Amazon, Walmart, and retail accounts. This role closes that gap.

As the direct manager of the Demand Planning team, you will transform day-to-day execution into a coordinated, accountable forecasting function. You will own the forecast methodology, drive inventory positioning decisions across all warehouses, and translate multi-channel sales signals into an integrated planning cycle that protects revenue and reduces excess inventory.

What You’ll Do

Forecasting & Inventory Planning

Lead all inventory planning and demand forecasting across Amazon, Walmart, and retail channels.
Build and maintain forecasting models that account for seasonality, promotions, lead times, and channel-specific velocity.
Own inventory positioning decisions across all warehouses — ensuring right stock, right location, right time.
Integrate demand signals from SellerCloud and ERP data into planning cycles.
Identify and close systemic gaps in the planning process — from data inputs through to purchase decisions.

Team Leadership & Development

Serve as direct manager for the Demand Planning Specialist and Demand Planning Analyst.
Set clear performance goals, provide structured coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Build accountability frameworks and documented workflows to professionalize team operations.
Develop team members’ analytical and forecasting capabilities over time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with the Head of Logistics on inbound planning, PO timing, and supplier lead time management.
Partner with Data & AI (Dataself, Power BI) to ensure demand signal accuracy and dashboard visibility.
Coordinate with Finance on inventory valuation, cost of goods, and write-off management.
Interface with Sales and Marketing on promotional forecasting and new product launch planning.

Reporting & Accountability Rhythm

Daily: Monitor stock levels, inbound shipment status, and demand anomalies across all channels.
Weekly: Deliver forecast accuracy reports and inventory health updates to the Head of Logistics and executive team.
Monthly: Conduct full demand reviews, reorder point recalibrations, and supplier lead time assessments.
Quarterly: Lead strategic forecast reviews, model recalibrations, and team performance assessments.

Who You Are

You think in demand curves, not spreadsheet rows.
You have built forecasting models from scratch and know where they break.
You are comfortable owning a number — forecast misses are yours to explain and fix.
You are a clear communicator who can translate inventory data into business decisions.
You thrive in fast-moving, data-rich environments with multiple sales channels.
You develop the people below you and hold them accountable with clarity and respect.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management; eCommerce experience strongly preferred.
2+ years in a leadership or people management role, with a track record of developing analytical teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience managing forecasting across multi-channel platforms (Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Walmart Supplier Center, or equivalent).
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for building and maintaining demand models (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, forecasting formulas).
Experience working with inventory and order management systems such as SellerCloud or similar multi-channel platforms.
Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Dataself, or equivalent) for data visibility and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive corrective action.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Tools You’ll Use

SellerCloud · Dataself · Power BI · Sage Intacct · Amazon Seller Central · Walmart Supplier Center · Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, SharePoint) · Monday.com
