Head of IT, Automation & AI Solutions

About the Role

We are a Dubai-based luxury fashion group seeking a hands-on technical leader to own our entire IT, automation, and AI ecosystem. You will build, manage, and lead our in-house tech team and external developers, creating the digital backbone that runs our business — websites, internal systems, automation workflows, AI solutions, and the logic that connects them all.

You think like an architect: every system runs independently, every process has clear triggers and conditions, every output reduces manual work.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Building & Management: Build the IT department from the ground up — define the team structure, write job descriptions, recruit and onboard developers, automation specialists, and AI engineers. Manage in-house staff and external developers, freelancers, and agencies. Assign tasks, set deadlines, review work quality, conduct one-on-ones, and run performance reviews. Set technical standards, documentation practices, and delivery cadence.
• Web Development: Oversee development and maintenance of all e-commerce websites and mobile apps, ensuring performance, SEO, and a consistent luxury user experience.
• Automation: Design end-to-end workflows using Zoho Creator, Zoho Flow, n8n, and Make.com. Build state-machine logic across production, inventory, sales, and fulfillment.
• AI Solutions: Deploy AI tools across the business — chatbots, content generation, customer service, demand forecasting, and prompt engineering for marketing content.
• Systems & Integrations: Architect how all platforms talk to each other (Zoho One, Shopify, WhatsApp, Meta Ads, and others). Build conditional logic, approval chains, and exception handling.
• Infrastructure & Security: Own hosting, domains, user access, data governance, and compliance.

Requirements

• 6+ years in IT leadership, digital operations, or solutions architecture, with 3+ years building and managing a technical team
• Proven ability to recruit, lead, and develop developers, set technical standards, run sprints, and deliver projects on time
• Strong hands-on expertise in Zoho Creator (must) — including Deluge scripting, custom app development, forms, reports, and workflow automation
• Proven experience across the wider Zoho One ecosystem (People, CRM, Books, Inventory, Flow)
• Strong Shopify experience (themes, apps, Liquid, checkout)
• Track record building automations with n8n, Make.com, or similar
• Practical experience with AI tools, LLM integrations, and chatbot platforms
• Solid understanding of Meta Ads infrastructure (Pixel, CAPI, catalog feeds)
• Comfort with APIs, webhooks, and scripting (JavaScript, Python, Deluge)
• Excellent English communication

Preferred

• Experience in fashion, retail, or luxury e-commerce
• Knowledge of GCC digital markets
• Arabic language skills
