Position Summary: Head of IT Infrastructure

As the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will serve as the strategic architect and custodian of the Bank’s core technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and evolving a resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure framework that supports the Bank’s growing suite of digital services. This includes cloud transformation, platform engineering, and system architecture that aligns with regulatory frameworks and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Planning

Design and implement forward-looking strategies for IT infrastructure, aligning technology goals with business and regulatory requirements.

• Cloud Transformation & Engineering

Lead the development and execution of cloud-first initiatives for scalability, agility, and innovation across banking platforms and fintech integrations.

• Infrastructure Management

Oversee all aspects of system architecture, including data centers, network engineering, server virtualization, and storage subsystems to ensure operational resilience.

• Security, Governance & Compliance

Establish and enforce security best practices, ensuring that IT systems comply with both internal governance policies and external regulatory standards, including SBP guidelines.

• Service Availability & Optimization

Design, implement, and continuously improve high-availability systems with robust fault tolerance to ensure uninterrupted banking operations and customer satisfaction.

• Technology Evaluation & Innovation

Monitor trends and advancements in infrastructure technologies. Evaluate and implement emerging solutions to enhance performance, reliability, and security.

• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

Develop, test, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to minimize risk and ensure continuity of services during unforeseen events.

Who Should Apply?

This role is ideal for individuals who:

• Have 10–12 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure roles within the banking industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Possess deep expertise in cloud migration, network and system engineering, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Islamic banking principles or a willingness to align technology solutions within a Shariah-compliant financial framework.
• Have led enterprise-wide infrastructure transformations in highly regulated environments.
