OB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of the Role:

The Head of IT Infrastructure is responsible for defining, managing, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology operations. The role drives strategic planning, implements robust IT systems, and leads a high-performing team to support the organization’s current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities (Functional Competencies):

• Infrastructure Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and implement the IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals.
• Plan and manage IT budgets for infrastructure projects.
• Network & Systems Management:
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of networks, servers, storage, and cloud environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of IT systems.
• Security & Compliance:
• Implement and maintain security policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations, standards, and audits.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the IT infrastructure team.
• Manage external vendors, consultants, and service providers.
• Project Management:
• Lead IT infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
• Monitor project timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Monitoring & Optimization:
• Continuously monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Proven experience in leading IT infrastructure teams and managing complex, enterprise-level IT environments.
• Strong expertise in network design, servers, storage systems, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with IT security frameworks, firewalls, VPNs, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Sound knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management best practices.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving technology environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs300,000.00 - Rs500,000.00 per month
