Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Events Manager / Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital marketing and social media, paired with a passion for planning and executing events—from in-studio education nights to client appreciation gatherings and community pop-ups.
This role is perfect for someone who is both creative and strategic, thrives in an entrepreneurial small-business environment, and is comfortable wearing many hats. You’ll be responsible for managing our online presence, supporting providers with their social media, and bringing our brand to life through thoughtfully planned events that drive engagement, new client growth, and loyalty.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Social Media
- Manage and execute the studio’s social media strategy across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Create and edit engaging content—including graphics, videos, and photography—in line with Honey Skincare Studio’s aesthetic.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends, engagement, and performance metrics to optimize content and strategy.
- Manage email marketing campaigns, including the creation of email blasts and newsletters.
- Collaborate with providers to ensure consistent and timely social media posting (minimum of two posts per week and one story per 24 hours).
- Hold providers accountable for meeting their social media responsibilities, providing support, guidance, and content ideas as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of SEO strategies and online advertising campaigns.
- Stay current with emerging digital trends and technologies, applying them to enhance the studio’s online presence.
- Work closely with the team to maintain a cohesive and innovative marketing approach.
Events & Community Engagement
- Plan, coordinate, and execute studio events such as:
- Client appreciation events
- Educational events and workshops
- Launch events for new services or products
- Partnership and community events (pop-ups, collaborations, etc.)
- Own event logistics from start to finish: concepts, timelines, vendor coordination, RSVPs, staffing, setup/breakdown, and post-event follow-up.
- Develop pre-, during-, and post-event marketing campaigns (social media, email, in-studio signage, etc.) to drive attendance and convert guests into loyal clients.
- Track event performance and ROI, providing recommendations for improvement and future opportunities.
- Represent Honey Skincare Studio at community events and local partnerships to increase brand awareness and build relationships.
- Occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed to support key events.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on social media management.
- Expertise in content creation, including graphic design and video editing.
- Proficient in using major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Understanding of social media algorithms and strategies to increase followers and engagement.
- Experience with email marketing tools and strategies.
- Knowledge of SEO and online advertising (Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads, etc.).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and event timelines.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, and building processes in a growing small-business environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Event Management, or a related field.
- Experience in, or affinity with the beauty, skincare, wellness, or medical aesthetics industry.
- Prior experience planning or coordinating events (in-person or virtual).
- Familiarity with the latest trends in skincare and wellness.
